Keeping your software updated

The Smartscope software has 2 branches:

• public, installed from our site
• beta, installed from our repository page

As soon as there's a new public release of your branch you'll be informed about it automatically at startup.
You can check this also manually, by going to Menu->System->About (which will show your the version you're currently using) and then clicking the 'Check for updates' button.
In case our automatic check at startup doesn't make you feel comfortable, you can also disable this by unchecking Menu->System->General->Auto update.
