The Smartscope software has 2 branches:
* public, installed from our site
* beta, installed from our repository page
As soon as there's a new public release of your branch you'll be informed about it automatically at startup.
<br>You can check this also manually, by going to Menu->System->About (which will show your the version you're currently using) and then clicking the 'Check for updates' button.
<br>In case our automatic check at startup doesn't make you feel comfortable, you can also disable this by unchecking Menu->System->General->Auto update.
